About Us

The Lighthouse School exists to provide a collaborative, creative, and immersive approach to education. Coursework emphasizes the arts and sciences, and a commitment to each child's unique self.

Located in Orlando, The Lighthouse School offers non-graded, non-credit weekly classes in all subject areas for ages four and up to supplement your family’s homeschool education plans. Learning is facilitated through activities including experiments and projects in addition to more traditional lesson plans.  In combination with academic enrichment, The Lighthouse School provides community and socialization for homeschoolers and their families.

Our teachers utilize the best educational philosophies of Reggio Emilia, Rudolf Steiner, and Dr. Maria Montessori. We guide children through their pursuit of knowledge by facilitating the cooperation of art, science, literature, music, storytelling, and communication.

Our Vision

The Lighthouse School is part of a movement away from conventional schooling.  Lighthouse students participate in hands-on learning activities led by inspiring professionals.  Students’ ideas are respected and valued because they are a key aspect of our community.  They use problem solving skills and teamwork to expand their knowledge and develop critical thinking skills. The Lighthouse School provides educational and social learning opportunities that enrich any homeschool lifestyle.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a collaborative, creative, and immersive approach to education, which will inspire each child’s unique potential and desire for lifelong learning. We build a community of learners that will become the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.

Leadership Team

Lighthouse School teachers are masters of their own craft. Our science teacher is a scientist and our art teacher is an artist.
